What inspires you about waking up each morning?
Rosemary: Everyday is a new day and you never know what it will bring. That is exciting to me.
Carol: I am inspired every day I wake up because of the freedoms I have as a woman in this country to be able to own and run a start-up company, express myself freely and hopefully inspire others to do the same!
How does your family inspire you?
Rosemary: My children are the reason that I get out of bed each day. They inspire me by what they have accomplished and I am so proud of them.
Carol: My husband and my twin (14 YEAR OLD, hard to believe) boys inspire me every day by simply believing in me…they totally support and love what Rosemary and I are doing. They also inspire me by being the their best everyday, even when things seem so hard.
What is your favorite place in the world?
Rosemary: Anywhere warm and tropical. The sun makes me happy. The Abaco Islands in the Bahamas are probably my favorite because they are so tranquil.
Carol: My favorite place in the world….anywhere water meets land! I am a beach BUM!!! I love the ocean:)
What advice would you give women going through life’s trials and tribulations?
Rosemary: Keep plugging away…everything is temporary. Lean on your family, your friends, and the Big Man upstairs but no necessarily in that order. Prayer is a powerful tool.
Carol: Hold your head up, look how far you have come in this life and stay strong! Some of life’s hardest moments teach us something about ourselves and grow us.
How do we begin to seek a better life?
Rosemary: You have a choice when you wake each day. You can choose to put a smile on your face and be happy or you can choose to be miserable. Follow your dreams and make sure you are passionate about what you do. Someone once said that if you love what you do it will never feel like a job – that is such a true statement.
Carol: We begin to seek a better life by staying positive….when you surround yourself with positive thoughts and positive people your life opens up to great things.
Describe your personal style?
Rosemary: Conservative/traditional with a dash of edge.
Carol: A mix of masculine and feminine. I love my classic pieces but I always add a touch of what is on trend/modern, if I can pull it off!
What did you wear as a child?
Rosemary: My mother has impeccable taste and she dressed us to the 9s either in smocked dresses or something monogrammed.
Carol: As a child my favorite clothes belonged to my older brother…..his old Levi’s, izod shirts and old tees where my favorite go to’s…..I was a total tomboy and rebel! My mother was typically horrified because she liked me properly dressed in smocked dress with ribbons in my hair.
Advice to women in their 20s.
Rosemary: Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle that you know nothing about.
Carol: Don’t hold yourself back because of what you think others will think! Never be afraid to express yourself……Be brave, be daring, be YOU!
